Focus
The German Journal of Economic Geography is geared to aspects of economic geography, but also oversteps close discipline boundaries. Themes and questions of adjacent human geographical disciplines are specifically not excluded. Empirical articles which follow theoretical principles are preferred.
As regards content emphasis is placed on the fields of regional and development research, economics and ecology as well as on research into societies in transition (newly-formed German states, former socialist countries).
The claim of our Journal is a problem-oriented perception. For this reason corresponding articles of related neighbouring disciplines (e.g. economics, sociology, ethnology, political and history science) are also welcome.
The focus of content of The German Journal of Economic Geography is observable in the theme issues of the last years.
